The homeless population in Colorado has grown dramatically over the past five years and not just in Denver. Homelessness affects men, women, veterans, families and youth in the Littleton community as well, but there are no permanent homeless shelters here. Outside of the metro area, it can be difficult for these people in need to find the shelter and services they need, especially during the harsh winter months. By serving with the Overnight Winter Shelter, volunteers are helping to create a place of refuge and preserve lives.
will you join us?
As a part of the Severe Weather Shelter Network, the Life Center opens its doors to the homeless one week per month when temperatures plummet during the winter months. Volunteers create a safe and comfortable environment by providing clean bedding, hot meals, warm clothing, and toiletry items to our overnight guests.
